RCC Program OverviewThe RCC designation is considered an intermediate designation in that it reflects training that is typically shorter than a certification program, yet offers the benefits of a professional designation based on life experience. (Certification programs usually take longer to complete and require post-certification requirements for maintenance.) The RCC program uses an accelerated course structure and has been designed for individuals who can work independently, grasp complicated concepts easily, and draw on practical applications through personal experiences. The ideal candidates for this program are typically:
Internally, they work with executives and managers, both individually and in group coaching (teams) to strengthen the organization's corporate culture. As an external coach, they work with business professionals at all levels to achieve personal and professional success. The RCC is awarded to those member coaches who pass a screening process and successfully complete a training program that requires demonstrating both fundamental and advanced coaching skills necessary for making highly effective coaching interventions in the business setting. Organizations seeking to credential more than one RCC candidate are encouraged to consider an on-site training program. This training program is provided by one of our Instructors, and is structured for internal coaches working with corporations or executives, and addresses how to use coaching to handle the most common issues faced by corporate employees, managers and executives. RCC coaches have significant life experience working in business and/or with performance issues. Obtaining the RCC DesignationThe RCC designation is granted by the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABC). To obtain this designation, you must be a member of WABC in good standing, and successfully complete an RCC Program, which is approved by WABC: Completion of the program includes: 1. Pass a screening interview with John Sample (your instructor). To be considered, you'll need to meet these minimum WABC qualifications:
2. Submit the program registration form and remit full payment of the RCC Program which also includes a one-year WABC Affiliate Membership to John Sample before commencement of program. Students who are already experienced business coaches may elect to apply for WABC Full Membership, our highest level membership at this time, for an additional fee. 3. Submit a WABC membership application - if you aren't already a member - in the category you choose and qualify for by completing a membership application. WABC reserves all rights in connection with the RCC designation, including the right to change the requirements of the RCC designation, and to replace the RCC designation. Program OverViewThe program is designed to emphasize rapid application of practical principles, skills and techniques from the viewpoint of an executive coach. There are six major components to the program. 1. Overview of Executive coaching and Corporate coaching with a focus on initial assessment.
Main topics: Introduction to classmates, definitions of coaching, coaching on
life balance, and blocks to success. 2. Coaching Career Issues in the Corporate Setting.
Main topic: Career issues. 3. Dealing with Stress and Emotions in the Workplace.
Main topic: Self-induced and other forms of stress. 4. Dealing with Differences in the Corporate Setting.
Main topics: Dealing with conflict and motivating individuals with different
behavioral styles. 5. Organization Skills and Practice Building Issues.
Main topics: Organizational strategies for unfocused clients. Ways to build your
coaching practice. 6. Personalized Coaching. "You will receive will recieve three, one hour personal coaching sessions." These sessions will be with the class instructor and are meant to help you integrate the information learned from the classes into your own coaching practice. Materials Included
